Wendy is a self-taught artist. Drawn to nature and in particular flowers and their transient nature and incredible detail, fascination is found in how light plays with colour, revealing a myriad of colours in what is perceived as a single colour bloom.

Her fascination of shadow and light recently inspired a series of glass vessel paintings. Wendy's natural style is realism, often painting on large canvasses in close focus which creates an abstraction in itself and a very dramatic perspective
