In the past, along with his wife Sancha, they have staged numerous successful exhibitions on the Sunshine Coast
A lifelong pursuit of art reproductions at times both stimulated and stifled his ambitions to paint in his own style.

Steve draws upon images from Matisse, Whiteley, Henry Moore and Norman Lindsay in order to find a sensual figurative pose that will then be painted in multiple layers into a composition that expresses both the erotic yet structural / sculptural feel that is at the core of his works.
