Rowley Drysdale is one of Australia’s leading ceramic artists and educators. He is one of the few ceramic artists in Australia to have made his living for almost four decades solely from making and teaching ceramics. Rowley is based at his property, Quixotica Art Space, a beautiful natural sanctuary in Cooroy, where he creates his own work and teaches ceramic workshops.
Best known for his dedication and achievements in the fields of wood firing, glaze development and ceramics education, Rowley has spent much of this year creating a body of work for this solo exhibition. After many long hours in the studio, multiple kiln firings and a careful selection of his best work, Rowley’s exhibition, Extracts, will be at the Noosa Regional Gallery from September 19 to November 7.
