Penny works as a silversmith jeweller and mixed media artist. She uses traditional methods combined with conceptual narratives to create many one-off jewellery and sculptural pieces at her Doonan studio. Her sculptural practice is informed by contemporary issues. After 25 years working in ceramics, she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2012 and commenced her silversmithing and sculpture practice in the Noosa Hinterland.
Jewellery workshops are held occasionally at her studio for beginners. Penny has been exhibiting her work in ceramics, sculpture and jewellery since 1992.
