Paulus developed his artistic skills at an early age. He is a skilled visual artist and illustrator with a vivid imagination pushing the boundaries of traditions and ethics. Sold many artworks over the years but rarely participated in competitions. He specialises in pencil, oil, pastel and charcoal.

Lately became interested in painting wildlife. Made 13 fine-detailed paintings of native bird species on the walls of the Noosa Valley golf club. He has provided drawing classes to artists and kids on 3D visualisation techniques in art.
