Lorna is an abstract artist working in acrylic and mixed media. Her work is essentially abstract landscapes, at least this is the starting point as she explores the connection between her inner intimate and introspective world and the outer landscape, her sense of place, alienation, connection and belonging. The work is intuitive, often quite wild at the start but aims to move towards a calmness and harmony while staying free and fresh. Exploring the emotional impact of colours and marks is her focus while the goal is to express the ‘feeling’ of the specific visual experience.
