Jewel Polkinghorne

Jewel studied Art and Design in Melbourne and taught in Victorian and QLD high schools.
Her paintings have explored themes of personal interest.
She employs gestural marks, colour nuances and tonal contrasts displaying a passion for paint.
Jewel has been involved in
many QLD exhibitions and has received recognition in a number of competitions as a finalist and prize winner. Since 2019 she has held 3 solo exhibitions.
This year she is painting on a larger scale to investigate Sunshine Coastal Vistas which hopefully invite the viewer to a personal experience of familiarity and rest.
