Desley Rolph PAINTER
Des Rolph has been painting professionally for approximately 15 years, completing a MAVA, at QCA, Griffith University, in 2014. Her major project embraced the plein air tradition, completing 42 small contemporary works, documenting the landscape and recreational spaces of Mt Coot-tha, including a 360 degree view where visible, of Brisbane. For Rolph, plein air captures the immediacy of the landscape which is often used as fodder for her atmospheric studio works. She has been a finalist in several industry respected national competitions, and her work has been purchased in private and corporate collections both in Australia and overseas.
