ARTIST REGISTRATION

Thank-you for your interest in becoming a registered artist with Noosa Open Studios 2023.
This year’s Noosa Open Studios art trail event will be held over ten days from 6th to15th October 2023.
Artist registrations are now open for financial 2023 members of Noosa Open Studios and will close at 5pm on Sunday 14th May 2023.
The 2023 participating artist registration fee is $325 (including public liability).
The 2023 studio enterprise registration fee is $840 (excluding public liability).

Benefits of being a NOS participant

Year-round presence on the NOS website – includes artist profile, contact details, art images and direct links to your website and/or social media accounts.
A listing in the Noosa Open Studios art trail guide – 10,000 copies widely distributed.
Listing features your art and artist profile and contact details.
Access to the NOS Members Only Facebook group – share your work and exhibitions during the year with other members.
Opportunity to network with other local artists.
Inclusion in the NOS art trail App, which assists visitors plan their journey to your studio.
Opportunity to sell and promote your art directly to visitors. In 2022 our artists sold approximately $500k worth of art, with many commissions and workshops booked.
Inclusion in two NOS artist exhibitions (commissions apply):
- Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre (31 August – 10 September, 2023)
- Wallace House, Noosaville, during the - NOS art trail (October 6-15, 2023).
Benefit from an extensive marketing program which brings thousands of art lovers to the event each year. This includes event-based advertising, social media, public relations/promotions, poster, leaflet and newsletter campaigns.
Promote your creative workshops taking place during and after NOS.
Invitation to all events including launch, exhibitions and ‘windup’ events.
Artist participation pack containing NOS signage, flag and in-studio event material.
Voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.

1. The 2023 Noosa Open Studios art trail is open to all artists and artisans who live - and have their art practice – in Noosa Shire and surrounding areas. This includes Doonan, Eumundi, Verrierdale, Carters Ridge, Peregian Springs, Ridgewood and Lake Weyba. Proof of residence may be required.
2. Each artist must be a financial 2023 member of Noosa Open Studios ($35) to become a registered artist/ participant ($325).
3. Participants must be available for the event dates (6-8 Oct 2023, 13-15 Oct 2023, plus a designated trail day). Monday – Trail 1, Noosa; Tuesday – Trail 2, Beaches; Wednesday – Trail 3, Tinbeerwah to Eumundi; Thursday Trail 4 & 5, Cooroy, Pomona & surrounds.
4. Participants must have their own working studio – which meets NOS safety/ access requirements - ready to open for the event.
5. Participants may share with another artist, but all artists must have a work area on display. Participants sharing a studio must each pay a separate registration fee. Unregistered artists must not display work or share the studio space.
6. Where a participant is a Studio Enterprise (i.e. employing staff with a shop outlet) that business will need to pay the Studio Enterprise registration fee.
7. Where an artist and gallery are co-located, both must be current Noosa Open Studios members and the gallery must have a paid advertisement in gallery directory in the NOS art trail guide.
8. For the comfort and enjoyment of visitors, participating artists are required to:
  - Provide access to a working studio, with working space and equipment, working tools, etc., visible.
  - Display a variety of works of art, finished and unfinished, and one in progress.
  - Have original work available for sale.
  - Be present in the studio during the agreed dates.
  - Be prepared to engage with visitors to discuss art and processes.
  - Provide access to a toilet for visitors (optional but preferred) and maintain security to the remainder of your premises while the studio is open.
  - Ensure studio is safe for visitors, with no known hazards.
9. To manage production costs, all artist profiles and photos must be provided in final versions at time of registration. Fees will be charged for additional changes.
10. In the event of a date change due to COVID-19, or any other unforeseen circumstance, the committee reserves the right to postpone and reactivate the event where possible.
  - The 2023 NOS committee has the final decision on all participant arrangements.
  - By paying for registration, this is your acceptance of the NOS event guidelines.
  - No entries will be accepted after 14^th May, 2023.
  - Final artist participation is contingent on a studio inspection by a NOS committee member. If rejected for any reason, your fee will be refunded.
